Messenger Pigeon. Original painting. # Version A colours.

Messenger Pigeon. Original painting. # Version A colours.
An original painting, in acrylics, of a lovely standing pigeon with a physical paper message banner attached to its leg. The banner reads ‘Put the kettle on. x’
I find pigeons beautiful and this is one of a few paintings I have created showing their beauty and linking to their role as messengers by adding a paper scroll to the leg. A sister painting in different colourways was accepted by the judges and sold in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2019.
It is window mounted with museum quality mount board and framed in a 52×52cm black box frame. For posting this frame has perspex rather than glass but a buyer can easily get their local glazier to cut a piece of picture glass and simply remove the perspex and put the glass in if they prefer it.
